Raoni Washburn is an accomplished writer, LGBTQ+ activist, and CEO of Bossy Power Bottom Productions. From San Francisco, California, Raoni is best known for his highly successful podcast "My Gay Exposé Podcast," which has garnered worldwide recognition and has been listed among the top 100 best LGBTQ+ podcasts of all time. Raoni's podcast has also reached the top 2% of the global podcast charts, making it a fan favorite, and was rebranded as “The Raoni Washburn Show” in 2024 before ultimately ending the iconic gay show after 5 epic years of podcasting.
Raoni's journey began as a writer, during which he gained recognition for freelance writing, website content creation, and blogging. His blog, "A 'Gay' In The Life Of Raoni," explored various topics related to gay life in San Francisco's Castro District, and many of his entries have been translated into podcast content. Despite his shift towards more lucrative ventures, Raoni has not forgotten his writing roots and is currently writing his first book. The book, titled "Gay Walk Of Shame," is semi-autobiographical and based on real-life experiences, showcasing his life in the San Francisco gay community. The book is set to be released soon, so stay tuned for updates.
Raoni is a vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and is dedicated to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS. He participated in the annual AIDS/LifeCycle event each year until its end in 2025 and actively participates in various fundraising events for LGBTQ+ & HIV/AIDS causes within the San Francisco community. One of Raoni's long-term goals is to expand his work in the HIV/AIDS sector.
In early 2023, Raoni founded Bossy Power Bottom Productions, a media company that focuses on promoting the queer voice in society. His business model includes a line of "Bossy Power Bottom Wear" and a second podcast titled "Blood Is Thicker Than Alcohol," which he co-hosts with his straight brother, Ryan Washburn. Raoni has always had a love for plants and has recently shifted his business focus from podcasting to helping others with their plant love through education, social media, and services, as well as plant shop pop-ups, all slated to drop in 2026 under the “Bossy Power Bottom Productions” umbrella.
Raoni is a self-proclaimed, messy, loud-mouthed, and unapologetic gay-overshare-esk personality, and he has dedicated his life to promoting the pro-LBGTQ+ agenda. He fights for those navigating queer culture, and his work continues to inspire and educate people worldwide.
